Key responsibilities
Venue Planning / Preparation
- Plan for, manage and oversee all Logistics operations within your assigned venue
- Liaise with internal Q22 functions and external stakeholders, to deliver a safe, sustainable, cost effective and operationally viable venue logistics solution
- Build strong relationships with internal Q22 functions and external stakeholders in order to capture and assess requirements, develop efficient plans and processes for the receipt, storage, distribution, re-supply and dissolution of their goods
- Develop and manage delivery schedules for bump-in, re-supply, and bump-out of your venue whilst identifying cost effective measures of utilizing staff and equipment
- In collaboration with Venue Management, Overlay Technical services, help design logistics compounds and venue storage facilities to enable a safe, efficient flow of goods within the venues
- Manage asset tracking (including Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E)), distribution in venue, setup/breakdown of spaces and return materials post tournament
- Manage information flow to all Functions with regards to Venue Logistics operations and Security protocols relating to the delivery of materials to venues
- Support with the recruitment of Deputy Site logistics coordinators role and the design of on venue logistics training
- Provide leadership, training and management to your venue logistics team including overseeing health and well-being, effective motivation, coordinating work assignments, and evaluating performance
- Maintain strong communication across teams providing content to all stakeholders on the venue logistics operating plans, departmental policies/procedures, delivery guides and access requirements
- Maintain plans to fulfil Qatar 2022 FIFA FWC sustainability commitment of minimizing waste and maximizing revenue through the effective post-event dissolution of assets
Venue Execution/Operations
- Help with coordination and implementation of the Logistics operational plans, policies and procedures across bump-in/out, re-supply and dissolution phases
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the agreed Logistics service levels at your venue
- Manage the receipt, storage, distribution, resupply, and recovery of Q22/SC assets and equipment at the venues during bump-in/out and tournament time
- Assist and liaise with the Logistics work stream Senior Managers (i.e., Customs & Freight Forwarding, Material Management, Warehousing, Distribution, LCC) with their requirements to support an efficient and economical end-to-end Logistics operation.
- Provide leadership, training and monitoring of deployed staff, ensuring the highest possible workplace health and safety protocols
- Maintain daily/weekly logistics situational reporting
